My Printer Will Not Connect to my Nokia WiFi Router

Some printers require specific wireless settings to allow a connection. With a Nokia 5G31 (pictured below), specific device settings may prevent a connection to HP printers. Here is a guide to creating a network that your printer can connect to.

1. Download and connect to the Nokia Wifi App using a mobile device. A guide that walks you through doing so can be found here.
2. From the home page, swipe from right to left to "Add WiFi network"

3. Select "Continue"

   

4. Select the network type from the options provided. Your printer's setup guide should specify which type of network is necessary, usually 2.4 GHz or 5GHz. Then select "Next".

5. Name your new network and Save 

    

6. Create a password and Save

    

7. Wait for the new network to complete setup. This may take a few minutes.
8. Connect your printer to your newly created network using the password you created, and finish setting up your printer according to the instructions provided in your printer's setup guide.
