With your EAN device or your personal Wi-Fi router, you may have the option to select either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz connection for your WiFi. Even though both frequencies can be used, your end devices will only connect to one network at a time.
The main differences between the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies are the range and bandwidth. 5Ghz offers a faster service at a shorter distance, whereas 2.4Ghz offers a wider distance for service, but is not as fast as the 5Ghz may be.
When deciding which network to connect your device to, keep in mind that some devices will not recognize the 5Ghz network. In that case, select the 2.4Ghz network instead.
As a general rule, it is recommended to have any devices that are close to your wireless router connected to the 5Ghz network, such as Televisions, desktop computers, game consoles, or other stationary streaming devices, and any devices that are further away from the wireless router connected to the 2.4Ghz network.
