Question
Am I restricted to only educational use? What am I limited to? Can anyone get this?
Answer
The Educational Access Network was created to give everyone the chance to get connected and increase the capabilities for education in rural areas. Through this program, we will expand to areas that do not have affordable internet available so residents can do their schoolwork, research, and education in their home.
While we promote education, this network is open for general community use as well. Things such as checking email, paying bills, social media, and other everyday things are not restricted on the network; anyone can be a part of it!
Through the EAN, community members will also gain access to online modules where they can expand their knowledge through the various online learning modules. These modules are included in the monthly service cost and completion of one of these modules is required annually to keep your service.
Members of our educational partners and affiliation program can rest easy as their children browse the internet due to the schools filtering out adult-oriented content. This allows regular access to the internet for everyday things, but helps prevent disturbing or inappropriate things to be accessed.
