How to Unlock Your LTE Device

LTE towers are made up of multiple cells, each pointing in different directions, allowing connection 360° around the tower. Sometimes, your LTE device will be locked to a specific cell to improve service stability. 

During tower maintenance, you will likely need to unlock your device to allow it to create a new connection. Please select the picture of your device below for a step-by-step guide on unlocking your device.

Note:  Even without an internet connection, you should be able to connect to your device and perform the steps below. 

BTI 860 and 880

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser, and type the following IP address into the address bar: 192.168.15.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
   • 
4. Log in with the username: superadmin and password: XOx)1CCwG7
5. Navigate to Settings -> Network -> Scan Mode
   • 
6. Change the Scan Mode to "Full Band" and Submit
   • 

Nokia Fastmile 4G08

Note: Factory Resetting the unit will change any customized network names and passwords back to the EAN default network name and password.

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser and type the following IP address into the address bar: https://192.168.1.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
   • 
4. Log in with username: admin password: Admin1234!
   • Note, if this does not work, please try admin/admin, admin/admin123, or using the Useradmin and password from the bottom of your device
5. Navigate to Maintenance -> Factory Default
6. Click the Factory Default box

Huawei eA280 and eA380

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser and type the following IP address into the address bar: 192.168.8.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
   • 
4. Log in with the username admin and password admin123
5. Navigate to Settings -> System -> Frequency Lock

6. Change Frequency Lock Mode to "Disable" and "Apply"

Baicell

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar https://192.168.150.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
   • 
4. Log in with the username: admin and password: admin
5. Navigate to LTE -> Scan Mode

6. In the settings box, change the Scan Mode to Full Band, Save & Apply

Global Telecom 130D/130P

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar http://10.1.1.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
   • 
4. Enter the password: Global_system and log in
5. Navigate to LTE-> eNB Settings
6. Uncheck the Preferred eNB List and Lock ND&S to the preferred list

7. Save & Apply
8. Navigate to LTE-> PLMN Selection and, if needed, change the Network Mode to Nomadic
   • 
9. Navigate to LTE-> ND&S
   • 
10. In the Discrete Band Setting box, check for Band IDs 7 and 41
    • 
11. If band 41 does not appear, click "Add", select 41 from the Band ID dropdown, Save & Apply

1. Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
2. Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar http://10.1.1.1

3. For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed

4. Enter the password: Global_system and log in
5. Navigate to LTE-> Cell Selection
6. Click the dropdown and select "Auto Select".

8. In LTE->NDS the Discrete Band Setting box, check for Band IDs 7 and 41
   • • If band 41 does not appear, click "Add", select 41 from the Band ID dropdown, Save & Apply
