LTE towers are made up of multiple cells, each pointing in different directions, allowing connection 360° around the tower. Sometimes, your LTE device will be locked to a specific cell to improve service stability.
During tower maintenance, you will likely need to unlock your device to allow it to create a new connection. Please select the picture of your device below for a step-by-step guide on unlocking your device.
Note: Even without an internet connection, you should be able to connect to your device and perform the steps below.
BTI 860 and 880
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser, and type the following IP address into the address bar: 192.168.15.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Log in with the username: superadmin and password: XOx)1CCwG7
- Navigate to Settings -> Network -> Scan Mode
- Change the Scan Mode to "Full Band" and Submit
Nokia Fastmile 4G08
Note: Factory Resetting the unit will change any customized network names and passwords back to the EAN default network name and password.
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser and type the following IP address into the address bar: https://192.168.1.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Log in with username: admin password: Admin1234!
- Note, if this does not work, please try admin/admin, admin/admin123, or using the Useradmin and password from the bottom of your device
- Navigate to Maintenance -> Factory Default
- Click the Factory Default box
- Select OK
Huawei eA280 and eA380
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser and type the following IP address into the address bar: 192.168.8.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Log in with the username admin and password admin123
- Navigate to Settings -> System -> Frequency Lock
- Change Frequency Lock Mode to "Disable" and "Apply"
Baicell
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar https://192.168.150.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Log in with the username: admin and password: admin
- Navigate to LTE -> Scan Mode
- In the settings box, change the Scan Mode to Full Band, Save & Apply
Global Telecom 130D/130P
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar http://10.1.1.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Enter the password: Global_system and log in
- Navigate to LTE-> eNB Settings
- Uncheck the Preferred eNB List and Lock ND&S to the preferred list
- Save & Apply
- Navigate to LTE-> PLMN Selection and, if needed, change the Network Mode to Nomadic
- Navigate to LTE-> ND&S
- In the Discrete Band Setting box, check for Band IDs 7 and 41
- If band 41 does not appear, click "Add", select 41 from the Band ID dropdown, Save & Apply
Global Telecom 136D
- Connect to your WiFi network (you will not have internet access, which is expected)
- Open a web browser and type the following address into the address bar http://10.1.1.1
- For any security warnings, select Advanced, then Proceed
- Enter the password: Global_system and log in
- Navigate to LTE-> Cell Selection
- Click the dropdown and select "Auto Select".
- Save & Apply
- In LTE->NDS the Discrete Band Setting box, check for Band IDs 7 and 41
